Fiberglass ptfe adhesive tape

Fiberglass PTFE Adhesive Tape

Fiberglass PTFE adhesive tape is a high performance product manufactured with a high temperature resistant surface and pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. It's commonly used in form/fill/seal machines to cover hot wires or heat-sealing jaws, as release liners on conveyor systems and in vacuum and blister packing applications too.

The reinforced woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE provides greater tensile strength and resistance to tears and punctures than typical PTFE tape. The silicon adhesive resists temperatures up to 500degF. It is durable and helps reduce build-up on packaging and heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment.

Non-Stick Surface

In the packaging industry, non-stick surfaces are often a must have to reduce friction on high traffic areas. PTFE tapes can provide this type of surface on a variety of equipment.

Fiberglass ptfe adhesive tape is made by coating one side of fiberglass cloth with a PTFE emulsion solution and then impregnating the other side with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive system. This combination of materials provides a slick, non-stick surface that performs well at elevated temperatures.

These ptfe coated glass cloth and one side adhesive tapes are commonly used in SATCHET / POUCH Filling Machines (Pre-pack, fill-pack) to cover heating elements that prevent sticking of the molten plastic / polythelene. It also works well on form/fill-seal machines, as it has the ability to withstand the heat of heat sealing jaws.

Premium PTFE Tapes feature heavy PTFE coated fiberglass fabric substrates that are coated with a high temperature (500 deg F) pressure sensitive silicone adhesive on one side. The dimensional stability of the fiberglass and high temperature range of the adhesive system produce a superior product.

High Temperature Resistance

PTFE tape for packaging machinery is a woven fiberglass fabric impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It can work at temperatures of 500 degF and features a non-stick surface.

Typically, this product is used to prevent adhesive from coming in contact with a heating element or a component of a packaging machine like silicone sponge or foam. It is available in a variety of widths and can be manufactured with or without a liner.

Reinforced PTFE Adhesive Tape is a woven fiberglass fabric impregnated on one side with a pressure sensitive silicone or acrylic adhesive. This PTFE tape for packaging machines is a durable solution to help reduce build-up on packaging and heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment.

The PTFE tape for packaging machinery has excellent abrasion resistance and is commonly used to line and protect chutes, slides and troughs from severe wear. It also works well as an easy-release medium between surfaces where pressure, temperature changes or other factors may create a measure of adhesion.

Chemical Resistant

Fiberglass ptfe adhesive tape has excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals. It is often used to replace teflon covers on heating elements in heat sealers and can also be used as a gasket for corrosive chemicals or electrolytes.

PTFE one-sided adhesive Tapes and Cloth are manufactured by coating a non-woven fiberglass cloth with a pressure sensitive silicone or acrylic adhesive. The combination of PTFE and the fiberglass cloth provides dimensional stability, tensile strength, and durability.

These tapes are ideal for applications where release properties are the main consideration, and a premium series of tapes is made by coating only one side of the fiberglass cloth with a pressure sensitive adhesive. The tighter weave of the fiberglass substrate allows for a higher PTFE content which offers superior release properties.

PTFE glass cloth tape is a non-stick, woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE to provide a slick surface which performs at elevated temperatures. The combination of PTFE and a high quality pressure sensitive silicone or acrylic adhesive creates a non-stick, temperature resistant tape.

Easy to Apply

PTFE coated fiberglass tape is easy to apply. A non-stick surface and an aggressive acrylic adhesive make it easy to stick on a variety of surfaces including paper, plastic, metal foil, and cloth.

Fiberglass PTFE tape is also easy to remove. The material is easy to cut and does not leave behind any residue.

The PTFE coating helps protect the glass fiber base fabric from damage during heat sealing applications. This is especially important in applications where there is no need for the PTFE tape to make contact with the heating element.

The PTFE coated fiberglass tape is made with premium grade materials and is designed for high temperature applications. It can handle temperatures up to 500 degrees F and is resistant to tears, punctures and abrasions. This tape is ideal for use on packaging machinery, chemical processing, and aerospace industries.
