Choose a high-quality PTFE tape with appropriate thickness and density for the pressure level. Thicker, denser tape is better suited for high-pressure environments as it provides a more robust seal.Ensure that the tape is rated for the specific application, especially in gas or high-pressure systems. Some tapes come with certifications (e.g., UL, ISO) that indicate their suitability for certain types of pressure or gas applications.

PTFE tape works best on tapered threads, which compress the tape to form a tight seal. On parallel threads, you may need additional sealing methods to ensure leak-proof connections.Ensure that the threads are clean and in good condition before applying the tape. Dirt, rust, or damage can prevent the tape from forming a proper seal. Inspect the threads and clean them thoroughly.
