Espa?olTo use plastic PTFE thread sealing tape correctly,follow these steps:
Clean the threads of the pipe or fitting to be sealed.Any dirt,grease,or oil on the threads can reduce the tape's effectiveness.
Wrap the tape tightly around the threads in the direction of the thread.Be sure to overlap the tape slightly as you go.The tape should be wrapped around the threads at least three times.
Assemble the pipe or fitting,being careful not to disturb the tape.Tighten the connection with a wrench, but be careful not to overtighten as this can cause the tape to compress and lose its seal.
Make sure the joint doesn't leak by checking with pressure testing or visual inspection.
It is important to note that PTFE Tape is not suitable for use in the presence of fuels or other flammable liquids,in system of oxygen and gas above 15 psi or temperatures above 260°C.
